Blush, Apricot and Cream Roses by Candlelight at The Ned

Some rooms just ask to be flowered. The Ned in London is one of them, and we were delighted to create the table flowers for an elegant celebration there.

The brief: romantic, soft and full of scent

We designed low table arrangements in a palette of soft blush, warm apricot, pale pink and cream roses. The look was romantic garden style: loose, natural and generous, with delicate textures woven through to keep every arrangement feeling light and airy rather than formal.

Why low arrangements?

Low table flowers keep sightlines open, so guests can talk across the table and enjoy the room, while still giving each table a beautiful centrepiece. They also work especially well with candlelight, as the glow picks out the petals and gives the whole room a warm, intimate feel.

Fragrance matters too

Flowers are for the senses as well as the eyes, and we love a design that makes you want to lean in. These arrangements had plenty of fragrance, with garden roses and tuberose among the flowers. Tuberose is one of my favourites, with a rich, creamy scent that fills a room without overwhelming it.

A beautiful room to work in

The room itself did so much of the work, and it was a joy to flower. A soft palette like this one lets the setting shine, with the flowers adding warmth and romance without competing with the architecture.
